About Us
Express Meats was founded in 1988, by Costa and Gina Vasiliades. It was a family business which traded from a 55m2 corner shop in Emmarentia, Johannesburg with only 8 staff members.

History
In 1998, Costa and Gina’s son Stan joined the business. Over the past twenty years, he has expanded the business to the enterprise that it is today. The expanded venture commenced working from a new 1400m2 premises in Crown Mines, with a staff complement of 60 people and using 18 temperature monitored delivery vehicles. Stan was joined by his sister, Demi in 2014, after the death of their father the same year. The business was incorporated in 2013, becoming Passionate About Meats (Pty) Ltd trading as Express Meats. In 2019 Stan and Demi, were joined by their sister Margie as Sales Manager.
Today, Express Meats continues to source fresh and quality meat products, which are tested and certified in all production and distribution stages. Over the years, Express Meats has developed an excellent relationship with approved meat suppliers and abattoirs in order to bring the best possible meat products to their customers.
In 2022, Express On The Go, a sister company launched which consists of a retail factory shop supplying the public direct.
